In March of last year, Real Estate began a downward spiral that lasted two months. Then, began a robust upward path for the next 13 months. Ongoing demand has been remarkably tenacious, prices have increased faster than at any time since the mid-1920s, and supply has not been able to keep up with demand.

While nobody knows if this market will burst suddenly or ease back into a more normal state of balance, it is unlikely that the current pace can continue much longer. The Q2 Market Report shows that the downward trend of low inventory is leveling out compared to last quarter. For the first time in over a year, supply is fulfilling demand -- an early indicator of a possible turning point.

Although the current peak demand may ease off over the coming weeks and months, we do not expect a sudden burst. Demand is real, not highly speculative. Lido Beach Recognized
as Best Restored Beach in the U.S.
Sarasota Luxury Real Estate
The recently completed Lido Beach renourishment project has earned national recognition, landing on the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association's annual list of the country's best restored beaches. The Lido Beach renourishment, a partnership between the City and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, added nearly 700,000 cubic yards of recycled sand to a 1.56-mile stretch of Lido Key, protecting critical infrastructure, properties and wildlife habitats. Two rock groins were also constructed along South Lido, helping to trap the flow of sand and reduce erosion.
